Exam rules

All the students can enroll and unsubscribe from all exams up to 3 days before the exam date.

There should be at least 14 days between one exam and the next one.

The results of the written tests should be promptly communicated and anyway not later than 10 days after, both for the exams having and not having the oral part too. Exceptions should be allowed only when a very large number of students have sat the exam, after the Director has given allowance and anyway in due time to eventually enroll to the next exam date.
All the students should have the possibility to view their paper with the marking before the deadline to accept the marks has passed by.

For all the exams having both the written and the oral parts, the oral should begin within the 10th day from the date when the written part took place. Exceptions should be allowed as above.

It is recommended that the written part should be valid only for the session it was sat.

Warning!!! – New way to implement the rule of the 3 exam possibilities per year
The rule stating the possibility to sit an exam maximum 3 times in a solar year is modified as follows:
All the students can sit maximum 3 exams of a subject in a period of 11 months (335 days).
The calculation is made backward from the exam date the student has selected and would wish to enroll: the system assesses whether 3 enrolments during the last 335 days exist already. The system makes such a control to any exam the students wish to enroll.
There is no calculation reset, in fact the system verifies the presence of enrolments in the previous 11 months for any exam.
The calculation has been reset on 1st May 2014: the system will not take into account all the exams prior to that date the student had enrolled to or sat, while all exams from that date onwards will be taken into account for the calculation.

Examples:
Economic history – exam date 26th June 2014

student no. 1 has enrolled to the exams:
20 June 2013;
2 September 2013;
10 May 2014.
The enrollment is accepted by the system because in the period starting from 26 June 2014 and the former 335 days (27 July 2013) the student has enrolled only twice.

student no. 2 has enrolled to the exams:
28 July 2013;
2 September 2013;
10 May 2014.
The enrollment is NOT accepted by the system because in the period starting from 26 June 2014 and the former 335 days (27 July 2013) the student has already enrolled 3 times.
He/she can therefore enroll to exams after 27th June.

Mid term exams are not included in the calculation of the present rule.
The system counts all the enrolments the students have done and all the times they are on the final list, yet being absent, withdrawn, insufficient or have refused their mark; on the contrary mid term exams do not count.
