Giovedì, 28 maggio 2020, ore 15:00

Anzelika Zaiceva Razzolini, professoressa associata di Politica Economica, Dipartimento di Economia Marco Biagi, Unimore

Andrea Salvini, Lecturer, University of Applied Sciences Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, Germany

The seminar is based on a paper that reviews labour markets of ten countries of destinations (CODs) from the point of view of a country of origin (COO) that needs to maximize the impact of its out-migration outcomes in terms of wages, working and living conditions, human rights and rights at work, integration prospects, as well as financial and social remittances.  The first part looks at the policy discourse documented in setting up the research questions,  whereas the second part is devoted to show case labour market analytical insights from the paper on how: i. COOs discern between good and bad COD partners, ii. labour markets findings can be helpful to establish recognition of skills across different countries and harmonization of training and testing standards in international recruitment. The seminar is concluded with some ideas for the migration policy of Europe looking at the emerging labour shortages and the adaptation required by the COVID19 crisis.
