In recent years, the city of Modena has seen a significant influx of international students, which has been growing year by year, particularly through the Erasmus programme.

Recognising the difficulties, both big and small, that a student may face when travelling to a foreign country to undertake part of their educational experience, ESN Modena was established.

This association was recently founded by students who have themselves been on Erasmus and by students particularly keen to integrate with young Europeans.

The association’s aims are to welcome incoming students and to facilitate their integration with local students, through both university orientation activities and informal extracurricular activities.

Many of us know how it can feel when you first arrive in a country other than your own, so we want to reassure all international students – should the need arise – that whatever you need, we’re here for you!
