The INTEDU1 research group (University of Bologna, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Sapienza University of Rome), in collaboration with AISSEC, is organizing the second edition of the workshop on “Inequality and Education: Measurement, Evidence, and Policy”. Education, often regarded as a fundamental tool for upward mobility, plays a key role in shaping individuals' labor market prospects and broader economic trajectories. Understanding its drivers and consequences is essential for developing policies that promote social cohesion and sustainable economic growth.
This workshop aims to bring together scholars and young researchers to explore the mechanisms
driving inequality and educational disparities, the effectiveness of policies addressing these issues, and the broader economic and social implications. The workshop will provide a platform for fruitful discussions and networking opportunities, fostering interdisciplinary exchange and innovative approaches to tackling inequality and educational challenges.
The conference will take place in Modena, Italy, on June 5-6, 2025, at Foro Boario, Department of
Economics "Marco Biagi". Social activities will be organized on June 7.More information about the city
